Chronic Kidney Disease is a major and growing global public health issue. It is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Chronic kidney disease not only leads to kidney failure, but also increases the risk of diseases such as heart attack and stroke.
The symposium, themed "Strengthening Kidney Care through Primary Health Care", focused on the importance of a primary healthcare approach as the frontline in the early detection, monitoring and integrated management of kidney disease.
